I noticed on the web a lot of people/groups (especially on Tumblr)
attacking Purity, telling that her character isn't original, or because of her hot drawings.
Apart those pics (everybody draws what he/she wants)
I was thinking...
how could she be 'unoriginal' if she was one of the first people making a sonic fan character? xD
What is true is that, after she went away (but also before) a lot of people himitated Becky, making a similar character... so it's shouldn't be Purity's fault afterall! xD
For example... I become supermegahyperpopular (it won't happen xD), and other people coming on deviantArt start to make male cats with hat backwards, high top sneakers and rude attitude. In this case the unoriginal one wouldn't be me (or Goro), but who copied me (and his/her character).
what do you think? xD
That's just an idea I have because I knew Purity on dA just 2-3 week before she left, so I hadn't a lot of occasions to know her xD
What makes me disappointed is that seeing a lot of "Becky-based" characters made the same Becky appear as 'Unoriginal'. =\

Hello people! I've watch Deviantart since October 2005 (when I was a 12 year old) and Becky the Hedgehog was like one of the earliest, cool, fan characters I've known. I haven't seen anyone made a pretty Hedgehog with long quills and cool clothes! Despite some naughty things she added, but hey, it's her drawing. She's not going to kill anyone with it! X,D If I must say, she almost as neat as Scourge the Hedgehog. And now there are too many people, drawing recolor characters, being hypocrite??? Oh my- If you guys think "you're so right" and is willing to be a d-bag to Purity, then I would like to see y'all complain the same way about Amy Rose and Shadow the Hedgehog to SEGA and Scourge the Hedgehog to ARCHIE.

I remember when I was little I made a 'fan-character' (though I never knew the term then) for the movie "Over the Hedge", but I eventually dumped the idea thinking that everyone else would think it was stupid. :/ (I don't like the movie that much anymore, there are plenty of others I like better now.)
When I first joined deviantART I was surprised to see someone make a Sonic FC - I'd thought I was the only one who did that sort of thing. So that's how I created my group of FCs, though I'm trying to work on turning some of them into non-Sonic characters. (Though someone might call me unoriginal for making a "furry"
It's stupid to bash a fan character, even if they're recolours (no, I am not saying Purity is a recolour) - if you're going to criticize any sort of character, you should at least do it constructively - bashing just isn't helpful at all.
You're talking with a guy whose the character has been done back in 1995 xD (even if I brought Goro back just 2-3 years ago) and making a fan character is not stupid at all ^^
Becky was one of the first sonic fan characters well known on the internet, maybe... surely the first one to make porn on sonic (nothing to blame v.v she just drew what she wanted xD)
I think that all those recolorers, as much as who does destrictive criticism, is a cancer of this fandom >>
